Sheath Systems

The ESEE line features the most innovative sheathing in the market. Every sheath has multiple carry options and can be used for the latest high-tech tactical rig or simply carried on a belt.

All ESEE-3 /4 knives will accept an optional jump-proof MOLLE back that includes a drop-leg extender ring, belt loop, tie-down holes, and  heavy duty MOLLE strap. With the MOLLE back attached, each sheath has three retention devices:

  • 1) A friction fit, molded blade cover in coyote brown.

  • 2) A Velcro retainer strap.

  • 3) An elastic pommel cover that is un-obtrusive until you pull it over the butt of the knife.

MOLLE Back and Pouches are also available for the ESEE-5 and ESEE-6 Sheaths.

Important: View this to properly attach a MOLLE back to MOLLE compatible gear. Failure to thread the MOLLE strap correctly may cause the snap to come apart!

Cordura MOLLE backs for the s and 4 and different color molded sheaths (including IR compliant Foliage Green) can be purchased on our "Additional Gear" page.

The ESEE-3 sheath system is also designed so the MOLLE back plate can be removed and the Nylon sheath carried via a boot clip (included), Tek-Lok or MOLLE Lock system (sold separately on the "Additional Gear" page). The system also works as a survival knife sheath by allowing the user to securely store a considerable length of paracord by wrapping around the sheath and through the lashing holes.

Also see sheath instruction page for installing Tek-Loks, MOLLE Locks, and proper knife removal techniques from the friction fit molded sheath.

Custom Fitting The Sheath Tension:

If the sheath fits too tightly against your knife, move the top two screws (that holds the molded sheath to the MOLLE back) to the extra set of holes below the top set. You can then heat the top part of the sheath with a hair dryer and spread it apart to loosen the friction fit. In many cases simply moving the screws and spreading without a hair dryer will allow enough tension release for a looser fit.
